"Noise for Now is a compilation for abortion access throughout the US. 100% of proceeds will go to charity - Noise for Now, The Brigid Alliance, and Abortion Care Network. It is a clear LP in a single pocket jacket with an insert and "Liberate Abortion" litho by Kim Gordon. Lineup includes Maya Hawke, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Bully, Wet Leg, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, and more. In the fall of 2022, several music managers teamed up with Noise for Now to release Good Music to Ensure Safe Abortion Access to All as a digital-only release available for 24 hours on Bandcamp. That compilation raised over $230K. Noise For Now has since started its own record label, with its first release being a vinyl-only release for RSD Black Friday 2023, with selections from that digital release. Artists for that included Cat Power, Sleater-Kinney, Tegan & Sara, My Morning Jacket, Maya Hawke, Fleet Foxes, Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires, and more (A limited number of Volume One are still available, see order info below). Volume 2 is now here, with unreleased tracks/versions/covers from Faye Webster, Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin, The War on Drugs, MC50, Claud, Big Freedia, SOFIA ISELLA, Becca Mancari, A.J. Haynes (of Seratones), and with a track from the original compilation, David Byrne and Devo. This is being released on June 21, around the anniversary of Dobbs (June 24), which was the SCOTUS decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. We are announcing it today, March 26th, to align with the Supreme Court arguments on mifepristone, a safe and effective abortion pill that was approved two decades ago.
