"Filth Pig is the sixth studio album by Ministry , originally released in 1996. The title supposedly comes from a statement in the British Parliament, where the band's frontman, Al Jourgensen, was described as a "filthy pig" by MP Teddy Taylor. For this album, Ministry stripped away all synthesizers and most of the samples from their style, building the music almost entirely with ultra-noisy guitars, heavy bass, and live drums, giving it an almost doom metal feel. It includes the singles " Reload ," "The Fall ," "Lay Lady Lay" (a Bob Dylan cover), and "Brick Windows ." This deluxe double vinyl edition includes rare single edits and B-sides."
